About Ramedian
Another one from sci-fi world-building project. This one might be the least developed of the bunch, as it will serve as the first language of most of the main characters, making it like the "Westron" of my setting. But I'd like to have a wordbook for making proper nouns and an idea of grammar.
Unlike Saerese and Sarvian of the same setting, Ramedian is descended from a real life language (not English), and is ultimately Indo-European. Though, it is spoken over 10,000 years in the future, making its relationship nearly inconsequential save for a scant few cognates.
The nation that speaks it is predominantly a pseudo-democratic cyberpunk dystopia where privacy is not only nearly extinct, but no one even cares about it. A major feature of this nation is compulsory urbanisation, where the law-abiding populace resides in densely-populated, walled-off mega cities. Outside of the city walls are robotically-manned farms and the non-compliant.
As an added note, there is a prominent non-rhotic dialect along the nation's East among the rural dwellers that has three contrasts in < a >, < o > and < u >.
