Phonology
[view]Phonological System: CarThis is a phonology system for cars from the hit movie Cars if, instead of speaking English for movie reasons, they instead evolved their own language using sounds from their engine. The engine works similarly to how the vocal cords work in a human, with it producing the vibrations that produce sound. As the mouths of cars in the Cars universe is on where the air filter would be located, we can assume that these cars have evolved more complex air filters. These cars are also shown to have tongues, which can be assumed to have evolved for sticking it out to win a race, or for skipping an air filter when needed. As such, these cars have three major areas where they can put their tongue, that being the grill, the particle filter, and the fine particle filter. They can also open and close their air intake using metal manifolds.
