About Rizó
Rizó is the native and official language of Rikálan and one of the official languages of the Winkai SR, Voganem SR and Siranem SR of the Juz Federation, along with Juzri. It was brought to the Snake Islands (Rikálan) by nomad tribes from the Far West around 800 years ago.
The language is written using the kauzóng, an alphasyllabary. Historically it's written vertically left-to-right, but nowadays it's common to see horizontal text, most likely influenced by the major neighboring languages (Juz and Leveto, both written left-to-right). Literature is often written vertically with horizontal headings and titles, signs are horizontal (also commonly bilingual or trilingual in Siranem), most documents and forms are written vertically.
