About Sagonian
This is my personal favorite conlang which I am currently working on
Location/Origin:
The language is from an island in the middle of the Mediterranean called "Sagonia" that is to the north of Algeria, the west of Italy, the south of France, and the east of Spain.
Language Percentages:
roughly 40% Latin
roughly 30% Spanish
roughly 20% Greek
roughly 6% English loanwords
roughly 2% Arabic loanwords
roughly 1% Italian loanwords
roughly 1% other/mix loanwords
If you want to learn more about these percentages or where they come from, I wrote an entire article about the History of Sagonian which you can read about
Language Design:
Supposed to be an analytic language of the romance family. Also supposed to have developed similar to how English developed (such as Old Sagonian, Middle Sagonian, and Modern Sagonian), but with no actual connection to English at all besides loanwords. Word order is generally SVO, except in a few cases such as when asking a question.
Currently a work in progress
