About Shio
Shio is a conlang that is constructed using elements taken from east-asian languages (Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Vietnamese and Thai). The writing system is a syllabary with 40 different characters (55 if you count 15 of the 40 with diacritics that change the sound, like in Japanese). This dictionary will, however, be written in romanised characters. It is a SOV language (much like Japanese and Korean). The name Shio, derives from the Mandarin word for word (字) and the Korean suffix for language (어).
