Syllable StructureSyllables can only take the form CV.
Stress informationStress is determined by pitch - raising your pitch for a word puts emphasis on a word, while lowering it deemphasises it.
Verbs will always raise the pitch of the syllable just before the inflection, and can also raise the pitch of the inflection itself if the inflection part is important.
Noun pitch, including names, depends on the length of the word:
1/2 syllables - always the first syllable
3 syllables - always the first syllable for nouns of the same gender as the speaker, otherwise the second syllable
4+ syllables - the second syllable for nouns of the same gender as the speaker, otherwise the penultimate syllable
Note that names are treated as the gender of the person whose name it is, regardless of the gender of the word. This includes ancestral names.
