About Proto-Karkem-Showash CURRENTLY BEING OVERHAULED

Proto-Karkem-Showash (PKS) is the proto-lang of the Karkem-Showash family, a large family of vaguely Mesopotamian languages which dominate Eastern Celea. The original imperialists, the descendants of this harsh language from the Zaǧarā Mountains controlled the ancient world, and continue to exercise significant political, philosophical and religious leverage in the modern era. Having gotten the idea from the Dingir - whom they eventually overran - many early KS languages were written in cuneiform.

KS is split into two main groups: first, Showash, the larger of the two groups, which is mainly inspired by Old Persian and Hittite and situated mostly on the east side of the Zaǧarā, and second, Karkem, the smaller group inspired by Armenian and other smallish languages situated mostly on the west side of the Zaǧarā. There is, additionally, a notable isolate in the form of Ašamenuahe, inspired by Urartian, which diverged from the rest of KS before the Showash-Karkem split.
