About American This conlang is supposed to be a prediction of what American English would look like in the future, based on predictions from the YouTube channel Watch Your Language. One of the most noticeable changes here is the reduction of diphthongs to simple vowels, the loss of /h/ in the initial position, except before /i/, where it changed to /ç/. Lenition of aspirated stops in the beginning of words, and the loss of the TH sound also occurred. Also, the orthography used here is mostly phonemic.
