About Vampiric
Originates from a race of vampires living in our world in the 1800s. Some vampires eventually moved to the Americas from various European countries such as Italy and Romania. Because of their longer lifespan and ability to pass as humans with some effort, these vampires integrated themselves into American society and became very wealthy. All the while, un underground community of sorts developed for vampires to socialize. In the 21st century, fewer vampires still put effort into their cultural heritage, preferring to instead try to live as humans, but some aim to preserve the language of their ancestors. It has no remaining native speakers.
Somewhere around 90% of vampires are non-heterosexual. Many believe this is due to vampires not needing to reproduce sexually. Because of this, vampires have historically occupied a large presence in LGBT communities and LGBT culture has influenced vampiric culture immensely, for instance, making the grammatical gender system reflect the experiences of transgender vampires.
