Ah! I see fresh meat.

Do you like dragons? Fire? Summoning Dante from his inferno just to fuck some dudes up? Then Xsat is for you (you can also say Hiss-it if you're a little non-phonologically-able baby). It has:

    No pronouns
  • No tenses
  • Syllable-less phonotactics
  • Possessed noun person marking and possessor incorporation
  • Verb marking for six semantic roles
  • Non-copulative
  • "Everything can be a verb"
  • And verbs so long that they might make your puny human lungs collapse.

Xsat is the main descendant of the primordial language of fire, spoken by dragons, demons, and most reptiles. It was adopted by a mountain tribe called the Saitx who had no choice but to speak the language or end up eaten, but is now relegated to a liturgical language, in the sense that it's used only to pray for mercy. As you can imagine, it's also popular with cults and certain semi-suicidal fire mages. The phonology shown is their human approximation of true Xsat, minus all the abject terror.

[edit] [view] Rįsstį (Salamandron Xsat)Salamandron Xsat is spoken by the Fire Salamanders, a race of large, semi-bipedal lizard-like beings and the only group of fully sentient reptiles beyond dragons themselves. They are also the only group of reptiles beyond dragons that can speak the language as well as understand it.
The main difference is that stop consonants and /h/ disappear following vowels and create creaky voice in the preceding vowels. Salamandron also replaces /k x/ with /q χ/ and /ʂ/ with /ɕ/.
