About Yawebya
A strongly isolating language, focused on complex juxtapositions of syntax to determine the meanings of phrases. Set during the late chalcolithic period of a conworld, and spoken by several tens of thousands of individuals in sedentary farming communities in a volcanic flood plain.
Some features of Yawebya include:
-OSV word order in standard clauses, although word order is changed for relative clauses (SOV/OVS) and becomes more complicated with evidentiality.
-Various phonemic phonations and tones: plain, creaky-voiced, and high. Further, all consonants have aspirated or breathy forms, which may have allophonic effects on their syllable.
-Particle markings for transitivity and evidentiality deriving from other verbs.
