About Physik
What is Physik?
Physik (Fisik) is an engineered language designed to be able to intuitively explain topics in Physics and/or Mathematics. I was inspired to make this tongue by the many misconceptions about physical laws that arise from linguistic density, linguistic ambiguity, and linguistic discontinuity.
This language will take a long time to fully construct, as there is a lot of Physics concepts to cover, a lot of optimizing to do, and little free time. I am dedicated, however, and I'll be keeping detailed personal notes on the matter (meaning this site won't immediately have all updates). Also interesting to note, is that I was particularly inspired to make this language because of the misunderstandings my classmates had about force and heat (Force and heat aren't objects, although treated as nouns. They're processes!)! Much of my research for this language comes from The Role of Language in Learning Physics by David T. Brookes. I encourage those who are interested to read the paper, as it is full of wonderful ideas and information. As of right now, I've made the following (basic) conclusions of what Physik must be:
Because describing physical reality uses only encoded metaphor and analogy, Physik must be a spoken language with low ambiguity and high regularity for the easy construction of analogy!
