About Aeránanue
Aeránanue is the language of the Haera people; created by the Rivagien to unify the Haera inhabitants of the island of Cabelia in language. They largely succeeded; using the Pira people's language as a basis, they made the language uniquely universal for all Haera people, while including their own alphabet and spelling systems for the lexicon which already existed. Only the Hmála people would resist this linguistic renaissance; and they speak their own language even today.

Aeránanue is a conlang originally created to "kind of look French but not be French". Now, I've repurposed it as a sprawling native population's mother tongue, which was given a French spelling by their French-speaking colonial overlords. Hence, quite a few loanwords from French; but overall, mostly an a priori language, whose orthography could be described as "French++".

A common cliché in Airannia I've imagined is as follows; Given a text in Franquese, an Aeránanue native speaker could comprehensibly convey it to a Franquese native speaker. Vice versa, not a chance.
