About Ash Kila Ash Kïla - or the forgotten/lost tongue as its name translates - was the language spoken by most inhabitants of Shélian over a thousand years in the past. Of course nobody called it 'the lost language' then, but whatever its original name may have been - not even the most dedicated scholar can unearth it anymore.
It was spoken by many different people until wars divided them and new language slowly emerged. One of its decedents is Edania, the language of the mountain people and their dragons.
That I should maybe add: not all of the people who presumably spoke Ash Kïla were human; some were of the great flying lizard sort whereas others decidedly tended towards the giant eagle kind of being.
