To this here crash course; The Imperial Bureau of Language whole-heartedly welcomes all those who take it upon themselves to study  Aelcorxer - the unifying tongue of the Grand Ocran and the soul of the- Ocraudavian Empire-

Before getting one's self started with the language in of itself, it is imperative to learn the very basics of its many sounds. While a script for the language does exist, the course will -for the most part- be using the Standard Romanisation System instead, as per Bureau directions.

With regards to alphabetical order, the language's sounds are:

A, a (/ɐ/), like in 'as'
B, b (/b/), like in 'bar'
D, d (/d/), in most cases, like in 'deer'
E, e (/e̞i/), akin to 'hey'
F, f (/f/), like in 'fish'
G, g (/ɢ/), like in 'rag'
I, i (/i/), like in 'inn'
K, k (/k/), in most cases, like in 'crash'
L, l (/l/), in most cases, like in 'luck'
M, m (/m/), like in 'mouse'
N, n (/n/), like in 'nice'
O, o (/o̞/), in most cases, like in 'oar'
P, p (/p/), like in 'piece'
R, r (/ɾ/), flapped, trilled after consonants
S, s (/s̠/), retracted; between the s in 'sit' and the sh in 'shoe'
T, t (/t/), like in 'tan'
U,u (/u/), like in 'oops'
V, v (/v/), like in 'van'
X,x (/ks/), like in 'axe'
ß (/ʃ/), like in 'shoe'
Ā, ā (/ə/), like in 'about'
Ē, ē (/ɪ/), like in 'seal'
Ō, ō (/ø/), between o and u, but exaggerated
Φ, φ (/ɸʷ/), like puffing out some wind
Ꜷ, ꜷ (/aʊʷ/), like in 'owl', but exaggerated

Practise these following sentences to get a better hang of the pronunciations!
Elesarvadan savarßubākiß.
('I'll return next year')
Olvꜷ ōforß, ōforß leo.
('What's done, is done')
Ēx tā āvnal gāφorāka?
('Can I help you?')

When practising, keep in mind that Aelcorxer words are always stressed on the antepenultimate.
