This Lesson #0.5 shall be the final in the  Aelcorxer Language Crash Course's prologue lesson, in regards to pronunciations.
As always, this free course has been provided to you by the Imperial Bureau of Language, by grace of Emperor Rātꜷs I Ārmekꜷr.

Last lesson covered the basics of Aelcorxer's pronunciation, as represented by the romanised Aelcorxer script.

Those, however, are not the only sounds of this language, for there do exist some allophones and diphthongs worthy of familiarising one's self with, they are as follows:

Rd, dn. The d in those diphthongs makes a /ð/ sound, like in 'this'
Sb, sd, sg. The s in those diphthongs makes a /z̠/ sound. Like an ordinary s, it too is retracted.
Ꜷl, ōl, ul. The l in those diphthongs makes a /ɫ/ sound, otherwise known as a 'Dark L'.
At the beginning or end of a word, Ē, ē may sound like an ordinary I, i. This however, varies from speaker to speaker.
After a 'Dark L', O, o may sound like an ordinary Ā, ā. This however, varies from speaker to speaker.

Basic allophones aside, a feature plenty abundant in Aelcorxer- Especially prominent in nouns and verb plurals- is the mutation of a word's phonemes. While it is not a fully concrete and well-defined system (as irregularities do exist), it is rigid enough to list a general set of guidelines.

I) Vowels

1.) E, e mutates into Ē, ē, which in turn mutates into I, i, which again mutates into Ē, ē.
2.) A, a mutates into Ā, ā, which in turn mutates into E, e.
3.) Ꜷ, ꜷ mutates into Ō, ō, which in turn mutates into U, u.
4.) O, o mutates into Ō, ō.

II) Consonants

1.) B, b mutates into P, p, and vice-versa.
2.) G, g mutates into K, k, and vice-versa.
3.) D, d mutates into T, t, and vice-versa.*
4.) V, v mutates into F, f, and vice-versa.
5.) ß mutates into S, s.
6.) Φ, φ mutates into F, f.
7.) L, l in rare cases mutates into R, r, and vice-versa.**

*) D, d doesn't mutate if it's part of a Rd or a Dn diphthong.
**) R, r, while it mutates irregularly, never mutates if it's part of a Rd diphthong,

As it can be seen, Vowels tend to be more fluid in the way they mutate than Consonants.

Below are a few first-person verbs in Aelcorxer, try to mutate their stems to form a plural, while keeping the suffixes the same, and then guess the pronunciation!
