The verb system of Libyic descends from the complex verbal inflections of Proto-Indo-European. Libyic realis verb forms descend from the Proto-Indo-European thematic stems, while irealis forms descend from the athematic roots.

Present Indicative:
Conjugation 1: -iś
būdiś - to awaken
būdo - I awaken
būdis - you awaken
būdit - he awakens
būdwa - we (two) awaken
būdśā - you (two) awaken
būdma - we awaken (pronounced as buːdna)
būddā - you awaken
būdant - they awaken
