For transliterating to Mitose. There are 11 letters corresponding to 20 phones. And yet, there is no /f/, /v/, /θ/ or /ð/. Or even /ʃ/ or /ʒ/.

The first step is to shift foreign sounds. Although the Objects can pronounce the foreign sounds, such as /f/, /v/, /θ/, /ð/, /ʃ/, /ʒ/, /x/, /h/, and much more sounds, they are often shifted to the nearest sound. This means Thick becomes /sik/, Server to /sɛrzɛr/, Shop /sɔp/. Vowels are even affected. This means /y/ shifts to /i/, and /e/ shifts to /ɛ/. The foreign sound /h/ is often deleted, but in rare cases, it is shifted to /k/ or /g/. /tʃ/ and /dʒ/ are often shifted to /s/ and /z/, but in some cases, it is shifted to /t/ or /d/ instead.

First, you will break up consonant clusters. While the Objects can pronounce consonant clusters, they are not premitted in Mitose. To break up consonant clusters, you will insert an /i/ on the cluster. This means Blocky beomces /bilɔki/. In some cases, clusters may end up being a cross-syllable cluster. This means Street is now /sitrit/.
Some Objects who speak other languages natively may realize as a /i̯/ or may delete the /i/. Struck could be /sitruk; si̯truk; struk/, and Cobalt could be /kɔbalit; kɔbali̯t; kɔbalt/ In rare cases, Objects may delete the /i/ and make the next consonant syllablic. Cobalt could be /kɔbalit; kɔbalt̩/.

For diphthongs, it is taken to account. There are 3 diphthongs in Mitose: /ai au ɔu/. If the diphthong is not premitted in Mitose, it is a cross-syllable cluster consisting of 2 vowels. This means Sky turns to /sikai/ or /si.kɛi/
