The personal pronoun system is complex as it (rather unintuitively) also involves the dimensions of time and fate. As it's entirely possible for an individual to meet a future or past version of themselves (the former always being the first encounter), having past and future versions of personal pronouns becomes a necessary component to inter-temporal communication.

There are four base personal deictic markers for the past, present and future:
