Kopanic pronouns and articles decline for class, demonstrativity and relfexitivity and plurality. This is notable as this is one of the only remaining remnants of the class system. While there used to be twelve classes in Kopanic, the system has since reduced to eight classes.
The following is a list of the classes:
- Neutral. The class used for most people and objects. Note: It is extremely rude to not use the neutral class when reffering to someone you don't know.
- Masculine. Rarely used outside of translational work. When used natively it is only really used to refer to animals.
- Feminine. See above.
- Aquatic. Used to refer to things relating to the sea or water.
- Ground. Used to refer to things relating to the ground.
- Evil. Used to refer to anticommunal and other such evil things.
- Good. Used to refer to things that are good.
- Settlements. Used to refer to settlements. Also used as the collective class for humans.
It should be noted that nouns themselves do not have classes. (With the exception of settlements) Class inflected pronouns and articles now solely serve additional descriptive purposes. It is perfectly acceptable to only use the neutral class.
