Menu 1. Phonological differences

Sotki is a more consonantic and almost sloppy version of the main dialect.
Here follows a list that compares the phonologic, red phonemes are found only in Sotki and blue phonemes are found only in the main dialect. Plain phonemes are found in both.

Blends: /tɹ/, /dɹ/

As you can see, the main dialect's plosives and fricatives are dental instead of alveolar (except for /s/ and /z/), and Sotki has alveolars instead. The /ʃ/, /ʒ/, /tʃ/ and /dʒ/ sounds are allophones in the main dialect, but the Sotki dialect does not have those allophones and therefore not those sounds.

You can also see that the dialect does not have palatal consonants.

In Sotki, the /ʀ/ has merged with /x/.

The Sotki dialect has two more approximants than the main dialect, the /ɹ/ has developed from the /ʃ/ and /ʒ/ sounds. The /ʍ/ has developed from the /w/ and /x/ sounds.

The following sound changes have happened:
Dental plosives/nasals ---> Alveolar
/tʃ dʒ/ ---> /tɹ dɹ/ before close vowels, /ts dz/ elsewhere
/ʃ ʒ/ ---> /ɹ/
/ʀ/ ---> /x/
