Verbs

Because Awa has a predominately Ergative case system with a fluid-S construction, volition of an intransitive action is determined by the case of the subject. See: Awa nouns Wiki Ergative Language Wiki Fluid-S construction Verbs are conjugated in a nominative accusative fashion in three tenses, Present, Past, and Narrative with respect to number, person, and grammatical gender for the nominative argument, and the same for the accusative argument, though the accusative inflection is realized as a prefix rather than a suffix.
