Standards Alliance Units:
The Standards Accords define many things. The language of NMW is just one of them. Another important aspect of the Standards Accords are their strictly defined units of measurement. The following are the basic units that define the system and their names in both NMW and English (all conversions to Earth units are approximate).

775: Tick, unit of time (0.8 seconds; 1/747 half-life of nitrogen-13)
774: Bar, unit of distance (1.8 meter; 1/[8^9] light-ticks)
773: Block, unit of volume (1 bar^3)
772: Brick, unit of mass (1.98 kg; 1/[8^4] block of pure titanium)

There are also a few derivied units defined in the Accords.

7755: Longtick, longer unit of time (54 minutes; 8^4 ticks)
7744: Longbar, longer unit of distance (7.36 km; 8^4 bars)
7754: Tickbar, unit of speed (2.5 mph; 1/2 bar per tick)
