In  Dworam (OLD), certain consonants have two 'forms' with which they use depending on the surrounding environment. The rules for consonant mutation are pretty standard. A consonant stays in its first form, the 'standard' form, in most places in a word, and changes into its second form, its 'mutated' form, if it occurs before the vowels [a] or [ë] as well as their long counterparts, or if it occurs at the end of the word. The standard form is unvoiced, whereas the mutated form is voiced. Below is a table listing off consonants as written on CWS with IPA representations of their standard and mutated forms.
ConsonantStandardMutated
c/t͡s//d͡z/
č/t͡ɕ//d͡ʑ/
h/x//ɣ/
k/k//g/
p/p//b/
s/s//z/
š/ɕ//ʑ/
t/t//d/
v/f//v/

However, these consonant mutation rules only apply to  Plains Dworam (OLD) and  Mountain Dworam (OLD), with  Coastal Dworam (OLD)'s mutable consonants without an aspirated equivalent (e.g. [c], [h], [v]) all matching their standard, unmutated form in other  Dworam (OLD) dialects, and its mutable consonants with aspirated equivalents ([p], [t], [k]) all being their mutated form.
