About Amestrian
Amestrian is the language spoken by the people of Amestris, the fictional country from the Fullmetal Alchemist Universe. Put simply, it takes inspiration primarily from the Germanic languages (As Amestris is clearly portrayed as having a German-esque culture) with influences and loanwords from some Semitic languages (Due to their country learning most of its scientific grounding from a man from the show's equivalent of Babylon, and having a rather large minority of Ishvalans, essentially arabs.)
