About Biedisian
An attempt to create a personal language, based on Celtic languages and Turkish.
Phonology
Borrowed from Irish and heavily modified
Most notably eliminated the velarization of plain/broad consonants
Added the Russian retroflex fricatives
Left only 3 vowels
Features it has:
- Is a nominative-accusative language
- Nouns/pronouns decline for 3 numbers (SG,DU,PL) and 5 cases (pronouns don't have a dual number)
- This allows for a free word order, although the preferred order is the English SVO.
- No grammatical gender
- Adjectives agree with the Noun in number
- Verbs conjugate for 4 tenses, with the Future being split into Near Future and Remote Future
- Past and Near Future split into Perfect/Imperfect
- Verbs conjugate for 3 persons and 2 numbers, although first person is the same form for both singular/plural
- Can be written in both Latin and Cyrillic.
