Evuyumish was created back in 2019 by a group of 4 people. All four were players on E2U (fictional universe, private text-based RPG).
Evuyumish was a priori language at first, but English, Latin, Greek, Proto-Indo-European and some Slavic languages influenced Evuyumish in some way or another, so now it is thought that Evuyumish is a mixed language, not a priori one.
Name etymology
Evuyumish got its name by mistake. "Evuumum gug" means "their language", but it should've been "Ekuumum gug" so that it would mean "our language". Over time, the name has become mainstream, as the only living form of Evuyumish, the literary (standard) Evuyumish, is no longer native to anyone (it's nobody's language/it's theirs, not ours), although it is used as a common language and/or a lingua franca.
Roots
Evuyumish derived its alphabet from Latin/Greek. It is known, that on Meduze the Latin alphabet has appeared because of travellers from the parallel universe (our IRL universe) which in far 3000 year to a current era (it is 2099 in IRL) have moved in the universe where the planet Meduze is. It also explains some borrowings from IRL languages.
However, it's not entirely clear where the language itself came from originally. It is almost certainly known that there was a Proto-Ezhnayan language, but we know nothing about its speakers, what peoples they were, their habitat is extremely vague, and the restored Proto-language gives us only an idea that it already had borrowings from IRL Earth languages, such as English and others, but it doesn't explain where other word roots come from.
