About Imperial Hlorasan Imperial Hlorasan was the administrative/literary language of the Hlorasan Empire (in the same conworld as  Sáharían, to which it's distantly related), and it spawned numerous descendants across the area of the empire.

Despite its role as a lingua franca, Hlorasan was considered a difficult language, mostly because of its morphology, with features including:
- four genders (masculine, feminine, neuter, abstract)
- four numbers (collective, singular, paucal, plural), two of which inflected for definiteness
- eight cases for nouns (seven for pronouns)
- many pronouns (a mix of gender + respect), with clusivity/proximate-obviate distinction
- three voices (active, passive, antipassive)
- five or six aspects depending on the verb class (stative or perfective/simple & imperfective, habitual, perfect/resultative, inchoative, cessative)
- a group of "leaning verbs", which included evidentials, moods, and common auxiliaries (e.g. "like", "want", "cause")

Less unusual to its neighbours was its tripartite alignment and extensive use of relative clauses for almost any kind of subordination. Its vowel harmony system was also unusual in its area—the harmony system classed vowels into four sets by height and roundness, with the schwa serving as a transparent vowel (it took the unrounded high set when it was the stressed vowel).

Phonologically, Imperial Hlorasan has palatalized versions of most consonants (including its affricate series), and a voicing contrast in its laterals (along with an only mostly complete shift from lateral fricatives to lateral approximants).
