About Proto-Jitte (dropped)
Proto-Jitte is one of the ancient languages that would originate one of the main language families in the post-nuclearholocaust alternative era.
in what we would consider the modern days in our timeline (21st century), there was a nuclear war which decimated the world's population, where almost all humans died from nuclear-bombs, radiation, lack of resources and others. Luckily, some small groups of people spread around the globe survived, but as modern technology and tools were useless at this point, and a lot of information resources like books were lost, humanity suffered what could be considered a reset. The humans suffered a huge decadence in technology, generation by generation. Returning as far as to the paleolithic era. After many thousands of years, global warming returned to normal, radiation is gone and humans, besides having no idea of their past now, can also finally have the oportunity to repopulate the earth again.
Proto-Jitte was originated and spoken around the region where would be today's lakes Churchill, Athabasca and Great Slave, in Canada. spoken by a population mainly involved around fishing. Later would spread from the bering strait, almost all of Canada till the eastern United States and separate in three branches.
