About Speed Roman
Nicknamed 'Speed Roman', Lingua Roma Veloca, or as often shortened, Romaveloca, is a semi-romance language, with inspiration from other languages. The "Roma" part of it's name is not, in fact, in reference to the Romance languages nor the Roman Republic. Roma translates to "Conversation", and Veloca "Quick", meaning it should be called Quick Conversation. The name Speed Roman comes from an English person who overheard a conversation in Romaveloca in Italy, and quickly assumed some people were speaking a modern dialect of Latin.
