Azra uses base 20.

Each number is composed of a consonant and vowel. The order alternates from ones place to tens place to hundreds place, etc. So ones place will always follow VCV and tens place will always be CVC. In VCV numbers, the stress is on the second syllable.

zero = ætæ
one = ɑnɑ
twenty (10) = nɑn-ætæ
four-hundred-and-one (101) = ɑnɑ-tæt-ɑnɑ

Numerals precede the noun while ordinals follow it.

one book
ɑnɑ nɑɾæ

first book
nɑɾæ ɑnɑ
