About Iri Iri (pronounced /ˈaɪɹiː/; known natively as Iria whaats‘ ‎އިރއިއަ ޥއާޠ, meaning "people's language") is a language spoken by the Iri people, mostly in the country of Iriabats.

It uses Thaana as its primary script, but it is IN NO WAY related to Maldivian. I just like how it looks.
Iri can be written both right-to-left and left-to-right.
Iri is an SOV language.

[edit] [view] ‎ށ‎އާ (Eastern/Shaa)The Eastern or Shaa dialect (‎ޥ‎އާ‎ޠ‎އެ‎ދ ‎ށ‎އާ / whaats‘ed śaa) is a dialect of Iri. It is spoken mainly in the Shaa district of Iriabats. Its main feature is making ‎ލ /ɬ/ instead of /ʎ̝̊/, and making ‎ސ and ‎‎ޒ apical instead of laminal.
[edit] [view] ‎ޟ‎އޯ‎ތ (Southern/Choot)The Southern or Choot dialect (‎ޥ‎އާ‎ޠ‎އެ‎ދ ‎ޟ‎އޯ‎ތ / whaats‘ed tśoot) is a dialect of Iri. It is spoken mainly in the Choot and Fema districts of Iriabats. Its main feature is discarding the rules about the pronunciation of ‎ރ – instead of it only being pronounced /r/ at the end of words, it is instead always pronounced as a trill.
[edit] [view] ‎ޕ‎އު‎ބ‎އާ‎ދ (Standard/Pubaad)The Standard or Pubaad dialect (‎ޥ‎އާ‎ޠ‎އެ‎ދ ‎ޕ‎އު‎ބ‎އާ‎ދ/whaats‘ed pubaad) is a dialect of Iri. It acts as the dialect used in informal speech.
