Language type Artistic Language (Artlang)
Species Human/humanoid
About Lulian Spoken by a plague-like, parasitic, hive-mind type species, the lul, on the artificial world Ulya. Its origins are unknown. It is not related to the other major languages of Ulya such as  Ulyan,  Vlekic,  Mraupsian,  Periphery, and  Xiqwa.

Notable features:
-Only two vowels, /i/ and /u/, both of which can vary anywhere between the closest front/back cardinal vowel to a mid-central schwa.
-Most consonants are voiceless and occur either as ejectives (except /s/) or one of three lengths: short, long, double-long. Longs are held about twice as long as shorts, and double-longs twice as long as longs.
-Voiced fricatives (/z/ and /ɣ/), approximants (/l/ and /j/) and the trill /r/ use creaky voice and also appear in short, long, and double-long forms.
-There are five "click-like" voiceless ejective affricates: t͡sʼ t͡ʃʼ k͡xʼ q͡χʼ t͡ɬʼ and three true clicks: alveolar (!), alveolo-lateral (ǁ), palatal (ǂ).
-There are no labials or nasals of any sort, neither labialization nor nasalization.

-Tripartite case marking: The Subject of an intransitive verb takes the Absolutive case, while with transitive verbs the Agent takes the Ergative and the Object takes the Accusative case.
-Pronouns and pronominal forms occur in only in plural form, and only in 2nd and 3rd person.
-There are three tenses: non-future, immediate-future, and future.
-There are five moods: command and prohibition (IMPImperative (mood)
command
and PROHProhibitive (mood)
negative imperative
), question (INTERRInterrogative mood (mood)
asks questions
), permission (PERMPermissive (mood)
the action is permitted
), and desire (OPTOptative (mood)
'wish, hope'
).
