About Ohnaucan
A sister language to Jutean, daughter of Middle Jutean. Developed in collaboration with Jute. Currently still in development — some vocabulary and grammar exists and more is being worked on, while sound changes, a name, and history are well established by now.
It innovated definiteness and noun number by repurposing pronouns. Noun classes have changed somewhat, and standard word order is now SOV, solidifying tendencies already present in Proto-Sanju-Jutean and Middle Jutean. Oblique case also functions as genitive now.
'òxnauca surtwasaxme' (from Middle Jutean oxneuca and surtuas) literally translates to 'language of the plains'
