About Suric
Suric is an Eastern Romance language spoken in parts of the Levant (mainly in western Syria, Lebanon, and northern Israel) and Egypt. The Suric language originated from speakers of early Romance languages in the Balkans that immigrated to the Levant in the early Middle Ages. Throughout the Middle Ages, speakers of the Suric language spread throughout the Levant and parts of Egypt, but their numbers dwindled as Arabic became the language of the majority. In the past 200 years, Suric has also gained a small presence in the Americas, due to immigrants from the Middle East.
