About Tekhanji
This language is spoken in some valleys of the mountainous areas of western Retenia. It derived from Old Retenian (like Standard Retenian from which is separed since 2300 years. This language was brought from the central Retenian plain to the western mountains by a migration of population caused by the invasions of the Celts and replaced Older languages derived from Dunari (from which is separed since 3300 years) or Pre Indo-European languages maybe related with Tamerin or Isolates languages that was spoken on the territory where it's spoken today. Also, during the last centuries, the area where Tekhanji is spoken regressed because of the expansion of Standard Retenian and close dialects of Standard Retenian but the situation stabilized in the last decades due to efforts to preserve the language. Despite the fact that is spoken by a little bit more than 100 000 peoples, it present some dialectal variations.
Unlike Standard Retenian (that has very restricted phonotactics), Tekhanji allow big consonant clusters like in "zrwij" (ice), "ftrak" (bird) or "frsan" (heel).
Also the words are generally monosyllabic (or at least present only one vowel preceded by a syllabic consonant) but unlike in Standard Retenian (yes, again) homonymy almost don't exist due to the high complexity of syllables.
I did'nt found yet a name for this language, so I named it after the main city near the area where this language is spoken.
