Syllable StructureYacsan follows a rigid CV(C) syllable structure with very little exception. Words can be mono- or poly-syllabic.
Stress informationStress falls on the first syllable unless a succeeding syllable contains a polypthong in which case that syllable takes the stress.
OtherPolypthongs are special in that they can break the 1-vowel per syllable rule. However, the only polypthongs that can occur are with front vowels, meaning back vowels can only be monophthongs.
