About Sondilo / Proto-Sondilic
Created mostly to trade loanwords, but also because fun.
Sondilo is a bit of a mouthful, leading to widespread elision and syncope in the daughter languages. Monomorphemic lexical words must be at least 2 syllables long, and are often 3-4 syllables; grammatical particles tend towards 1-2 syllables but are not infrequently 3 syllables long.
Stress is always marked in multisyllable words (â long vowels, á short) to reduce headaches when operating sound changes.
