About Uyendur
Uyendur (uiEnduru, uiwnduru) is a Wibbayuric language spoken in Uyen, an arid region in the southwest. It is an inflecting language with relatively complex declension and conjugation patterns. Nouns decline into four cases based on number, gender, definiteness. Verbs conjugate based on subject, plurality, aspect, tense, mood, and voice.
One of my main goals was to design a fusional language. To this end, I envisioned a more regular, agglutinating historical language. I designed the suffixes purposely to interact in odd ways when I applied sound changes. I then added a bit of analogy and some random stuff in to end up with a number of fusional endings that are not always regular or predictable.
This is also why the nouns and verbs inflect so much, and why I decided to add two genders. In fact, I had never made a simple masc/fem gendered language before, so I decided why not. This language is the result.
